Mall Santa

We went to the mall first to get pics of the kids with Santa. The best pic we tried in sepia so it turned out yellow. We went again to get another pic with a different Santa and Payton noticed that they were two different people. We some how pulled it off but i don't think this kid is going to last till she is eight. Have to start preparing now to fill her in on the real magic of Santa Clause. Actually kind of excited :)

Meeting Santa

We took the kids to the mall to see Santa and then again to The Endview Plantation across the road to get a picture with him. It was really cold and we all froze half to death but the magic in their eyes when they got to see Santa was worth it all. I love this part of Christmas but this years goal is to keep the true meaning of Christmas alive. In this effort we wrote Happy Birthday Jesus on our big front bay window. The Spirit of Christ is alive and full in the Jones' home this year:)

Thanksgiving Madness

So we had our whole block over for Thanksgiving. It was fun but also a little crowded. Over 15 adults and 8 children. In my little home that's a lot of people. But, Love does grow best in little houses, so I'm not complaining. Also it was nice to have so many friends to be thankful for especially when we are so home sick :) We had the neighborhood kids over a few days before to make our decorations for the party. We made paper plate turkey's and cut out the kid's hands prints for the feathers. We also asked the kids what they were thankful most about their parents and put them on place cards along with leaves they each picked out from our yard. It was great to incorporate the children into the real spirit of Thanksgiving. We had ton's of food, watched football, mingled and played games with the kids. During the evening we all placed the things we are thankful for in a box and at the end of the night we sat around and let the kids help us read them aloud. The spirit was strong and everything went great. I am thankful for all the blessings God has given me and my family.

BOO! Halloween Fun

We had a blast Trick or Treating with our freinds and nieghbors. It was fun to dress up. We went to a block party for military housing. There was a huanted house, snacks and fun music that all the kids rocked out too.The best part was going through the kids candy and re giving out the stuff i didn't want them to have. The hardest part is that daddy had to go back to work early so we didn't get to spend much time with him. Looking forward to next year when we can all be together as The Incredibles.
